Located in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, Company of Rogues Actors’ Studio teaches a deep and personal process of acting rooted in the New York tradition of authentic performance; offering professional Stage, Meisner, Television and Film training for the actor. For the last 30 years, our Co-founders (Joe-Norman Shaw and Christiane Hirt) have dedicated their lives to the craft of acting as working professionals, while sharing their passion with thousands of students -many of whom have successfully entered the professional world.

Our Faculty

Our team of professional stage and theatre actors, singers and writers have been trained and performed around the globe. They are as passionate as they are knowledgeable and take great pride in sharing their art and expertise with emerging artists at Rogues.

Aaron Coates

Instructor
Aaron is a director, actor, playwright, and teacher. He studied acting at Mount Royal College and at École Philippe Gaulier in Paris. Aaron co-founded Trepan Theatre

Joe-Norman Shaw

Co-Founder
Joe-Norman Shaw is Studio Director and Co-Founder of Company of Rogues Actors Studio and Artistic Director of Rogues Theatre.

Christiane Hirt

Co-Founder
Throughout a CHprofessional career spanning over thirty years, Christiane has studied extensively in Vancouver, LA and is an Alumni of New York’s prestigious, HB Studio. As Co-Founder of Company of Rogues Actors’ Studio (est. 1993)
